For shame.

9 Dec

I promise that I will not continue to do this.  It is a helluva cop-out.  However!  This one is fun, too, and super short.  So!  Survey it is!

(This one found here: Kody Keplinger’s blog-o-rama!)

1. What are the 3 best books you’ve read this year?
Good question.  Very good question.

1) Charles de Lint – Someplace to Be Flying
2) Neil Gaiman – Anansi Boys
3) Natalie Goldberg – Writing Down the Bones

2. If you could meet any author (alive or dead) who would it be?

Gaiman.  And de Lint.  I can’t choose, anymore.  Gaiman’s a rockstar.  de Lint’s a Canadian genius.  See?  The toss-up is huge.

3. What book are you looking most forward to in 2010?

Becca Fitzpatrick – Crescendo.  It’s not that Hush, Hush was the best book I’ve ever read, but I’m really looking forward to reading the story’s progression!

In other news?  I have decided that submitting to Cutbanks is a great idea!  (For all of you local folks, the March issue is a creative writing shindig!  Poetry, prose, photography, it’s all welcome!  Write it and then submit it!  I am going to attempt to create something worth reading and hope to see it in print!  (It’s a great publication.  About PG for PG!  Tyler’s done a phenomenal job!  I live in the best city and it just keeps getting better!)  Also?  Planning another book review.  Or, well actually a series review!  1984 meets A Brave New World meets downtown Hollywood.  Hollah!
